MARIA HUMBERDROSS
REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST
Maria is a Registered Psychologist and Certified Applied Neuroscience Practitioner, affiliated with the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPI) and the International Association of Applied Neuroscience. She brings extensive experience across public and private mental health settings, working with clients from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of presentations.
Maria's approach draws on neurobiological, cognitive, emotional, social, and environmental insights, combining evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Neuro-Psychotherapy. She also incorporates emotional release therapy and works with clients to reconsolidate traumatic memories from a clinical and neuropsychological perspective.
She creates a warm, relaxed space for clients to work through their concerns, and views life's challenges as opportunities for growth. Maria helps clients identify their strengths, set meaningful goals, and build the practical skills needed to move forward. Her client-centred approach places strong emphasis on self-compassion and self-worth as the foundation for lasting change. She provides structured support in problem-solving, assertive communication, anger management, stress management, and parenting education.
