Therapy shouldn't feel clinical before it's even started.

At Valentia Health, how you feel from the moment you call us or walk through our door matters just as much as the work we do together once you're in the room.

No sterile waiting rooms, no scripted phone calls, no waitlist to fight through. Just a warm, human start to something that can genuinely help.

Whether you're looking for therapy, an ADHD assessment, or support through an insurance or WorkCover QLD claim, we've got you.

When you call us…

We know that picking up the phone to ask for help can be one of the hardest parts. So we've made sure that whoever answers, you'll be met with a real person, genuine warmth, plenty of time to ask any of those niggling questions, and no waitlist standing between you and support.

We don't keep people waiting because we've built our practice around not having to. If you're ready to talk to someone, we're ready to see you.

What it's like here

We've deliberately moved away from anything that feels clinical. Our newly-built space in Taringa is calm, comfortable, and designed so you can just breathe out for a moment before your session starts.

There's cold drinks and snacks waiting if you'd like one. The room you'll sit in is calm and unhurried, built for conversation rather than consultation. And if you need a coffee first, Aunty Paul's is just a couple of doors down.

We're an inclusive, neurodivergent-affirming space, and we welcome the LGBTQIA+ community with open arms. However you arrive, we want you to feel like you belong here before a single word of therapy has been spoken.

Proudly supporting clients across Taringa, Indooroopilly, Toowong, Auchenflower, Bardon and surrounding suburbs.

In-person and online options

Not everyone can get to a face-to-face appointment and for a variety of reasons. We get it and that’s absolutely OK - we offer both in-person sessions as well as online sessions with our team. As long as you’ve got a smart device and an internet connection then we will look after the rest.

What makes us, us.

We are a group of psychologists, located in Taringa, Brisbane near to Indooroopilly, Toowong and Auchenflower, who believe in holistic treatment focused on the individual and their needs. We are a neurodiverse-informed practice and we wholeheartedly believe in providing non-discriminatory, accessible care to everyone, and we offer both in-person and telehealth sessions.

If you’re looking for child (6+), teen, adult, couples or family therapy then you’re at the right place.

Feel free to give us a call, or if sending an email feels more comfortable for you just click the contact us tab and we’ll be in touch over email as soon as we can be.

Our services

  • Psychology

We have a broad range of skills and can support people with anxiety, depression, mood concerns, ASD, ADHD, personality complexities, addiction, and neurodevelopmental conditions.

  • ADHD Assessments

An ADHD assessment is a comprehensive evaluation designed to explore attention, focus, emotional regulation, and behavioural patterns that may be impacting daily life. It’s more than just identifying a diagnosis—it’s about understanding how your brain works, your unique strengths, and the challenges that may be getting in the way.

  • “Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.”

    Brené Brown

  • “People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”

Carl R. Rogers, A Way of Being

  • “Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.”

    Carrie Fisher

  • “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
